Cosplay fans are in for a real treat – Royal Caribbean, Asia’s largest cruise line will be hosting COSFEST SEA: Beyond the Horizons. The Mariner of the Seas will be transformed into a world of cosplay fantasy. The Singapore Cosplay Club, in collaboration with Royal Caribbean, has organised a special three-night cruise from Singapore to Penang.
Some of the highlights of this cruise include the Asia Cosplay Meet Championships which will feature contestants from eight countries including China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, The Philippines and Thailand, all vying for the top spot. There will also be guest contestants from the USA. And cosplay fans who have booked their spot on the cruise will be able to watch the action unfold.
Other activities include the ‘Movie Costume Museum’ which will have an impressive collection of costumes from many movie and animation titles. There will even be costumes for guests to dress up their children for photo ops. In the Royal Promenade, there will also be the ‘Cosplay Parade’ which will be filled with cosplayers dressed up as popular Anime characters. And there will also be a ‘Cosplay Treasure Hunt’ for any cruisers who want to accomplish as many missions as possible onboard.

The theme cruise packages are on sale at the Singapore Cosplay Club’s website. The Interior Stateroom package goes for SGD 495 per person and the Ocean View Stateroom package is at SGD 567 per person. Customers who purchase these packages will be entitled to a specially designed COSFEST SEA souvenir.
